Write for The Modern Witch Blog

This blog is all about sharing and support! We accept and even welcome guest contributions. I can’t wait to hear your voice and your fresh perspectives.

Please read the guidelines below before sending your request.

the Type of content I’m looking for

The number one goal of this blog is to create the #1 resource for people who are interested in bringing more magic into their lives. Whether readers are beginners or long time practitioners, I want this to be a source of valuable information and a place to share different perspectives.

Every topic has to be of interest to the community and provide some direct value. If you think you can give me an article/post/resource like that then I would love to have your work featured here!

  • List posts, tutorials, quick how-to posts … they’re all good as long as they help meet the goal described above.

  • What can you share to help the community? What unique view can you offer?

  • The content needs to be 100% original. That means it's never been published anywhere else and doesn’t violate any copyright laws.

  • 500+ words, please.

  • No more than three external links (to reliable, safe resources).

  • Make sure there are no typos or mistakes.

  • Good title and taglines. Get people interested!

By writing for the Modern Witch Blog, you get to have your picture (black and white only) in the Witches section of the ‘About’ page, along with a short bio and one URL link to your website. If you are approved to write your first blog post, please include a separate short bio (150 characters max.) to include with your post with the appropriate link.

Note: I retain the copyright of every post published on this site. If approved, you cannot republish your work elsewhere. You can, however link back to your post to promote it or use it as an sample of your writing.

How to get your work published here.

Start by coming up with 3 headline ideas that you think could work well.

  • Tell me exactly how my readers will benefit from each of those posts.

  • Send your ideas via the form below (You don’t have to send a complete article yet) along with 4-5 links to your previous work (if possible but not mandatory).

  • I will take a look at them and get back to you as soon as possible!

Waiting time

I read and go through all submissions. If you send it, I will read it! And you’ll get an answer too. However I don’t do miracles and I only have two hands (gasp, shocking!).

  • It might take me 1-2 weeks before I get to your submission.

  • Please wait at least 3 weeks before resubmitting (any resubmitted posts before this time will be declined outright).

Oh, and by the way, make sure to use the word "narwhal" somewhere in your pitch. That way, I know you’ve read the guidelines. I'm doing Ctrl+F on all submission, so if the word isn’t found, you may not receive a response. I’m sneaky like that!
